This fully equipped Amel 55 was built in 2012 for the current owners.
They have been sailing in comfort and style for the last 10 years and now they are turning the page to a next chapter in life.
WHEELHOUSE
It has a Large, comfortable and reassuring wheelhouse. Very strongly built, made for pleasant comfortable and safe sailing.
With the plexiglas forward and side windscreens, the central part opens as do two hatches in the roof. This unit offers therefor an exceptional panoramic view and gives perfect ventilation. There is a rigid sliding sun awning, forming an extension to the roof. All traveller and sheet control (manual and electric) are conveniently run from the cockpit.
Helmsman's station in the wheelhouse with a leather covered composite wheel. Mechanical wheel steering. Central console for the electronics, together with all the other controls (windlass, furling gear, thruster, etc.). Adjustable teak cockpit table. Very comfortable composite helmsman's seat with newly upholstered leather seat and back.
ENGINEROOM
Spacious watertight engine room, with very efficient sound insulation. The engine and all the heavy equipment (generator set) are centred and positioned very low.
High density insulation foam and inside coating with high acoustic performance. Which makes her (even without sailing) very comfortable to cruise with.
GALLEY
The Galley situated on the left of the companionway, is very large and is a major feature of the life on board. A large opening port light gives a view of the outside whilst doing the cooking. It is naturally very light, great attention has been paid to the lighting and ventilation, which are excellent.

SALOON
A very bright and spacious Saloon provides an excellent view of the outside from its 4 opening hatches and 4 large hull port lights. The companionway is well protected by the wheelhouse and can even remain open in rainy weather. Large sliding table with extension, for 8 people, with a very comfortable u shaped seat.
Electric telescopic table foot allowing conversion of the table into additional berth. Comfortable sofa with a wine / spirit locker and storage for glasses . Audio system: radio-CD-MPS with BOSE acoustics.
High quality standard leather upholstery and trim.
Black-out blinds on all the port lights. Black-out blinds and fly screens for all hatches. Interior finishing: US walnut, polyurethane 2 component multi-coat varnish. Light coloured (oak) wood flooring . Lee cloths for all the berths.
FORWARD CABIN ENSUITE
Closed by a watertight door, It covers the full width of the hull. It is vast, very light and well ventilated thanks to 3 deck hatches and 2 hull port lights. Central 1.60 m double bed, slat base and high-density foam mattress. Very large storages space under the bed with top access. Lockers, drawers, and a large hanging locker for optimum ease storage.
Desk unit/dressing table to starboard with swivelling seat, and a mirror.
Spacious shower and an electric vacuum fresh water marine toilet.
PASSAGEWAY
On starboard Isolated from the saloon by a sliding wooden door a spacious and comfortable single navigation berth.
Behind the navigation berth there is another head with a combined washing machine/dryer, electric vacuum fresh water marine toilet, washbasin unit, shower with curtain and an opening hatch.
AFT OWNERS CABIN EN SUITE
Closed by a watertight door, 1 large central double bed with two bedside units.
Numerous closed and open lockers, 2 hanging lockers, large storage space under the bed.
Drawer and lockers. 2 hull port lights.
Aft panoramic port light and an opening hatch.
Separate shower with thermostatic mixing tap, storage, electric vacuum fresh water marine toilet. All heads onboard have black water tanks.
